Penetrate the silence

Our minds are full of chatter, all day long and even during the night when we dream. We are constantly bombarded by thoughts of every conceivable kind. This is not the natural way we are to be. The ancient ones tell us that to know God is to hear the whisperings of knowing that flow from the cosmic mind. These are not thoughts. They do not come from the head. They flow from the Beingness that you are.
So, how do we quiet the mind that is undisciplined? There are a few ways that work well, but it takes practice and dedication to master them. The first one is left-nostril breathing. This is a practice you do for 31 minutes or longer, every day for 90 days. No, this is not something you do for a few minutes here and there. It is done, sitting for at least 31 minutes.
Find a comfortable place to sit and settle in. When you are done fidgeting, shut your eyes and close the right nostril with the thumb of your right hand. Breathe in and out as deeply as you can, just watching your breathe go in and out. If any thoughts come into your head, just watch them float on by, letting them go as you breathe. You can set a timer, if you like so you can continue undistracted until the bell goes off.
Left nostril breathing calms the mind and allows it to empty. During the day, if thoughts come back into your head you can use this second technique. This involves an eye movement which clears the mind, and a command. The eye movement is quite fast, look to the far left, look to the far right, then left again. Keep your head still like you are looking straight ahead. So that is left, right left. As you are doing the eye movement, say silently in your head -Inner be silent. Continue to do this exercise as often as necessary. Like anything, you need to do this exercise for at least 21 days in a row to set the pattern so you can continue to penetrate into the silence.
When the mind is quiet, there is room for the insights from the higher You to come into your awareness. This is your innate guidance system that has your best interests at heart. It is the wisdom of the ages and your greatest ally. Now you will be able to hear it and pay attention.

No Body, No Where

Nobody, nowhere

Nobody nowhere
My comfort zone on the street
No one can touch me
because I'm not their
My zone is closed to all who care
Especially if you want to make me
a somebody, somewhere
